Purple Dragonfly
Sam Stoner  22/01/09 I drew/painted this for my Fiancé's birthday this year. I fell in love with this picture the first time I saw it. The original is by  and I've had her kind permission to submit this . It's one of my favourite pictures on this site. My version is done with water colour pencils, although the texture of the pencils seemed to go streaky and wouldn't blend properly. The face is done with 2H, 2B and 4B pencils and a teal blue water colour pencil. It didn't scan as well as I wanted it too, but I'm scared of photoshop, so I just did the bare minimum to tidy it up a bit  Original version of the picture © Akaeya-Lovely. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. Contest winners will be featured in a news article and a journal entry--as well as other fabulous prizes.
